Simply slip the nickel-plated steel pintle sleeve over the 1" diameter hitch ball shank. Once in place, the sleeve accepts the lunette ring on the trailer, and the handle comes over and locks in place to create a strong, reliable pintle hitch with a towing capacity of 16,000 lbs. Backed up by the security of a double-locking system, this pintle hook combo offers safety, versatility and performance for those towing with a lunette ring.
To use the unit as a ball hitch:
Simply slip any size Convert-A-Ball nickel-plated steel hitch ball onto the ball shank after the pintle sleeve has been removed. As a ball hitch, the PH2 maintains its strong performance, with a towing capacity up to 8,000 lbs.
